FINANCE DEPARTMENT
The Finance Department is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 am.
The Finance Department is responsible for all financial transactions relating to both the revenues and disbursements of the Borough. This office is responsible for depositing all funds in depositories authorized by the Mayor & Council. These funds are invested safely and deposited in interest bearing accounts in accordance with State requirements. This Department is also responsible for securing funds for the local schools, high school and the County of Passaic.
The Finance Office oversees the following functions of the Borough: budget, investments, requisitions, bills, cash receipts, disbursements and purchasing. The Finance office oversees purchasing for all departments. Most purchases are covered by bid proposals, contracts or joint purchasing programs. Payroll is also administered in this office for all municipal employees.
